The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. the two bathrooms were clean and nicely designed. the living area was a cozy place to eat and relax. the staff took excellent care of the premises and ensured that guests did the same. Free parking was also a bonus. the location was perfect, just a short distance from the beautiful black beach and easy to find using Google Maps. A supermarket and gas station were conveniently located about 5 minutes away by car. the beds were comfortable, and though the rooms were simple, they still had a cozy feel. Sharing the kitchen and showers with other guests was not a problem, as there were plenty of facilities available. Cons: Could not be improved in any way. 🙌.

It was located close to a supermarket. There were only a few place to stay in the little town of Vik so our choices were limited.
TV in the common room was limited to one channel. Rooms where small and very basic.

The location was good - a short walk to the amazing black beach and cliffs. The shared kitchen facilities are good and there's a nice shared sitting room with free WiFi. Our room had a sink which was very useful.
We were staying in a room on the top floor of the building and had to go down a flight of stairs to get to the toilet, and right down to the bottom floor and through the shared seating area to get to the showers. We were travelling off-season so actually had the entire place to ourselves but imagined that, when full, the 2 showers would start to build up large queues. Our room was also very small, with just enough space for the 2 single beds and our 2 bags. Vik generally seems to be overpriced, and we were just stopping off for the night to break up a long drive, so it did seem to be a lot to pay for basic, back-packer accommodation.

The hostel had a multilingual receptionist, clear instructions, and a beautiful old property. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a good restaurant nearby. The location was walking distance to the beach and there were plenty of nearby walking trails.
Felt really good, no reason to complain.

Even considered the prices in iceland the value for the money is poor. Stay only if you have to stop in vik, otherwise keep driving and look for farm/guesthouse

Good kitchen with a lot of facilities, the guesthouse was very close to a supermarket, restaurant and cafe.
Rooms were not clean and not cleaned during the stay, towels were not refreshed, very noisy (you could hear what people were saying in the rooms nextdoor), only two bathrooms for all guests. After all, a crappy place for too much money.

The location of the hotel was absolutely ideal, right in the center of town. It was convenient for exploring the surrounding areas and attractions.
It would have been helpful if there were more signs or information about the facilities, especially the location of the toilets. We had to ask around to figure out where everything was.

fantastic location, very quiet town we stayed in the guesthouse but there is an inn BEST: world class chef Riho Heinmets (Estonia) prepares an elegant selection of entrees for dinner. He presents a limited number of choices (4 main courses, a soup and 2 choices options for starters and desserts) he keeps it simple. Each plate is presented with a classy touch and a delicious mix of local products.
WC very tight and not very clean (guesthouse)

The kitchen was big, well-equipped, and clean. The bathrooms were nice and the staff were attentive. Free parking and historical building were a bonus.
Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The building had a charming old Icelandic vibe and the rooms, though small, were cozy and well-maintained. The hostel is separate from the hotel and located on a quiet street next to the mountain side, providing a peaceful and picturesque setting. I loved the abundance of vegetation and even a small waterfall in the back of the hostel. The staff at the front desk were friendly and cute, making me feel right at home. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean, making it easy to prepare meals. The showers, although communal, were clean and provided a comfortable experience. The location of the hostel is perfect for exploring Vik and its beautiful black sand beach. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the small size of the rooms and occasional noise from other guests, I would highly recommend Puffin Hostel for an authentic Icelandic experience.
